Review of The Conjuring 2 (2016) by Facebook U — 22 Feb 2017
At first, I thought, yeah, scary ghost looks like easy going. But it improved along the way. It turns into an exorcist film with lots of parallel with the true story. The film is well grounded with numerous references to the true story (which was surely a make-believe) with arguments for it being a fake being counterargumented at several occasions.
The film of course diverge and becomes more supernatural with many unexpected things happening. Great special effects. Great acting. The girl often looks like she's having fun being scary, just like in the real story, which makes us and the exorcisors doubt of the possession.
Even a video would put doubt just as there was in real life. The film is hence rather intelligent and I really enjoyed it. My frissons of fear were often mixed with frissons of pleasure. So strange and unusual.
I also had fun comparing this to Ghost Whisperer, the famously good TV show. (You're stone, Rolling Stone.).
