It certainly doesn't surpass the original in terms of atmosphere, regardless, The Conjuring 2 still delivers some good scares and, surprisingly, a sometimes touching story, despite all the screams and shaking beds.
Despite it's dated visual effects that sometimes detract from the experience, the ammount of solid scares and a great cast make this a worthwhile ride.
