Review:

I'm really upset with the director of this movie because the first half of the film was brilliant and then it does a complete 360 when it goes into the animation world. After having many unsuccessful films in her career, Robin Wright decides to hand over the rights to her life to a film company who can copy her so they can make her star in any film they want. The thing that was so great about the beginning was that it really does seem like its about Robin Wrights true life because they mention a lot of films that she has starred in. During the scanning process, Harvey Keitel puts in an emotional performance so they can get all of Robin Wrights mannerisms and expressions into a computer. This part of the film was great but when it jumps to 20 years later, it just turns into a right confusing mess. From getting served dinner by Michael Jackson in his thriller outfit to sitting next Frank Sinatra and Queen Elizabeth, the director really let this movie down by over complicating such a great concept. Disappointing!

 .

Round-Up:

All he way through the first half of the movie, Robin Wrights agent and the studio are telling her how disappointing her career has been and that her movies don't make any money and the terrible thing is that this movie really is proof that what they were saying is true. People should only make movies like this if they are portraying there own life in a blockbuster and not a low budget movie which might flop at the box office, like this has. That's not to say that the characters didn't put in a great performance, it's just that it lost its fresh spark once the director tried to get creative with the awful animation after she crosses over. Anyway, it's one of those movies that are hard to explain if you haven't seen it so I would like to know what other people think once they have gone on this really weird rollacoaster.

Budget: â?¬8million.

Worldwide Gross: $456,000 (Terrible!).

I recommend this movie to people who are into their emotional dramas about an unsuccessful actor who gives the rights to her life over to a studio so they can make a copy of her and put her in movies to try and make her famous again. 4/10.
