Review of The Conformist (1971) by Miles H — 16 Dec 2007
Here's the reason why I would gladly make Bernardo Bertolucci's coffee on set, free of charge. This is more than just a movie. It's a tone poem, an artwork, a masterful story, and a captivating, unforgettable study of sex and politics, two things that are rarely, if ever, estranged.
I really can't do the movie justice with any comment. You simply have to experience it for yourself, preferably several times, to even begin to understand how this movie moves me and makes me feel.
