Review of The Conformist (1971) by Andrew S — 30 Mar 2008
A disturbing story of circling around one OF Mussolinis flunkies. This is a times like many seventies films slightly confusing to start off with the continous time changes. the setting and tone remind me of Dont look now ( maybe an inspiration to Nic Roeg).
Also like so many Eurpoean films from this time there is a good deal of sexual tension and pretty ladies. God bless the Italians. Also for any Godfather buffs Gastone Moschin is in the Godfather two.
