Review of The Conformist (1971) by Vito M — 18 Jul 2008
Beautiful film about a sheep in wolves clothing. It occasionally overstretches itself in the style department and the metaphor with Plato's cave is pretentious, but is thought-provoking and brave in depicting the choices made in the rarely discussed (internally, anyway) fascist-era Italy.
