Review of The Company of Wolves (1984) by Voxel U — 03 Oct 2008
A fairytale theme based on Little Red Riding Hood and the spectacle of Werewolves. The film, however, goes much deeper than just an entertaining story. Using dark Freudian symbolism the story is one of leaving childhood and entering adulthood and the magic that is lost of innocent childhood.
The visuals are superb and the film is bound to leave an impact on the viewer. For fans of Danielle Dax watch out for her brief appearance as the Wolfgirl.
