Review of The Company Men (2010) by Joe P — 16 Jun 2011
Wells wrote a good script and did fairly good as a director.
What sucked the momentum and energy from the film was Ben Afleck and Rosemarie DeWitt. every scene with them felt like watching a video clip from a bad acting class. they did not have any chemistry together what-so-ever! I was trying to root for Ben, but I'm sorry, he is not a good actor.
What kept this movie up and running, breathing and with awesome momentum were Tommy Lee and Chris Cooper. they actually made the bad acting of Ben and Rosemarie look even worse than it really was. Tommy and Chris held the movie together and brought some great moments to the story. if it wasn't for them this movie would have been terrible, and if it wasn't for Ben Afleck and Rosemarie DeWitt this movie would have been so much better.
