Review of The Company Men (2010) by Dana A — 03 Jul 2011
This wasn't a bad film. It was well acted and well directed the main problem I had was that I was completely unable to connect with any of the characters and their situation. I was unable to feel compassion for people who make over $200,000 a year and now complain about making $80,000.
These characters were greedy and it focused on greed. This film was whiny, pretentious, cliched and just annoying. The movie never really showed the effects of unemployment nor did any of the characters face any hardships.
It tried too hard to be Up in the Air without any charm, poignancy, spirit or anything worth caring about.
