I never thought Tim Heidecker would star in something I would describe as "compelling." The humor here is just as clever and disgusting as Awesome Show, but much more casual. It's mostly funny, but each joke is usually a full scene, so when it sometimes misfires you've got several minutes of chasing a bad joke.

Heidecker puts on a surprisingly convincing performance here as he portrays a man who is finally reaching a point in his life where he cannot disconnect through jokes anymore, and I found myself satisfied with the destination his character arrives at.

Some of the more artsy scenes kind of lack a point at times; although they do at times leave an interesting ambiguity as to what the mental state of the character is, it more often gives the path and flow of the film an aimless feel.

What you get out of it is worth the flaws, though, and the movie ends up being a funny and memorable one.
