You tol' Harpo ta beat me! All my life I had to fight! I had to fight my uncles, had to fight my brothers. A girl-chile ain't safe in a fam'ly of mens. I luh's Harpo, God knows I do. But I'll kill 'im dead fo' I let him beat me! Now you want a dead son-in-law. Then you keep on advisin' him like you doin'.
