The Color Purple is one of my all-time favorite books, and this film does the book great justice. The acting is phenomenal and the casting is spot-on. It's not easy to watch, but that's the point- you're supposed to be uncomfortable and ultimately moved.
This is a fantastic movie, one that I would not change in any way.
