Review of The Color Purple (1985) by Betty B — 15 May 2013
To be completely honest, I though this film was rather terrible. It was overly depressing and honestly the mild tale of hope was completely set in a delusional, deluded reality that honestly makes no bloody sense.
The entire story was completely depressing, the second anything got better, it then suddenly dropped to worlds worse than before up until the end where everything just got better and everyone lived happily ever after.
This story of hope was really more of a depressive slump of Misandry, but at least the technological aspect of this film was rather nice, completely saving this film from being on the list of the worst films I've ever seen.
