Review of The Color of Paradise (1999) by Mhaza R — 16 Jun 2009
Another glorious film directed by Majid Majadi. Same director that did "Children of Heaven" which is my favorite foreign film ever. Color of Paradise is about a young blind boy who's father feels burdened by his need to care for him after his wife's death.
He wants to remarry and feels he cannot do so with a blind son. The performances by all are wonderful. Especially that of the young boy. This is cineamatically astonishingly beautiful to watch. Majadi has the eye of a true artist when he directs a film.
