Review of The Color of Money (1986) by Beau J — 23 Mar 2010
Definitely not Scorsese's strongest work but there are times when you see signature moves from the director which make you feel right at home. The whole reason this movie works is because of the three leads though, Newman is so cool as always, Cruise's character is so full of insecurity in some parts of his life but with the cue in his hand he owns the world and Mastrantonio just oozes sex in her role.
I wish the pool scenes would have been more fleshed out instead of so many quick cuts but Marty made the calls.
