Terribly entrapped in the 80s and does a tremendous disservice to The Hustler. If you took the original and stripped every element that made it emotional and compelling, you'd wind up with The Color Of Money.
Newman deserved much, much better. In fact, was the sequel even necessary? Who was dying for a 'Where Are They Now' feature on Fast Eddie Felson? For shame, Scorsese. For shame...
