Review of Broken Gardenias (2014) by Ruth D — 29 Mar 2015
This dark comedy tackles some difficult topics in a refreshingly honest yet positive way. With an excellent soundtrack and fantastic cast (including Alma S. Grey herself as Jenny) this independent film makes some remarkable comments on the underrepresented sectors of our society. The symbolism that is scattered throughout this amazing film portrays the idea that life goes on through whatever we have to face, even when it feels like there is nothing left to live for.
If you ever get the chance to see this film, do. You won't regret it.
