Review of The Color of Money (1986) by Ashleigh S — 26 Dec 2009
"The Color of Money will electrify you with its suspenseful story, dazzling cinematography and dynamic performances." NOT.
The whole film is either shouted or spoken in hushed tones, mostly the latter, making it very hard to follow and not at all "suspenseful". If you really really really like pool, then you will appreciate what little cinematography there was and the only "dynamic performance" came from Newman... no surprise there.
I was bored to tears 10 minutes in and ready to brain myself with a pool cue halfway through. It is mind numbingly boring and I do not recommend it.
