Review of The Color of Money (1986) by Adam W — 10 Feb 2011
The color of money is slick, fast paced, exciting and uber cool from start to finish thanks to Scorsese's skillful filmmaking. But nevertheless, like the first film, this is Paul Newman's show all the way, and just like the Hustler, it features terrific dialogues that are delivered with style. I enjoyed this flick even more than the first mainly because it was more laid back, fun and entertaining, a mix of commercialism and hard hitting reality. But it was really Paul Newman's ice cool presence that makes this film a joy to watch.
