Review of The Color of Money (1986) by Muktashif D — 15 Feb 2011
Uh can you say boring with a side of boring and boring with dessert along with a tall glass of boring?
If you look at the DVD cover it is covered with words like "explosive" "powerful" and "academy award winner". I found this to be completly lacking any serious entertainment or "explosive" moments. In fact the only part that can called "explosive" is the part where tom cruise is playing pool and "werewolves of london" is playing in the background.
The plot is nothing but "hey, wanna hit the road and play some pool?". Then,"Hey lets leave, hey learn this, hey dont mess up, hey im staying behind, hey lets compete, hey I really won".
Whenever a conflict does arise between newman and tom cruise all that happens is newman remains in the town and cruise leaves. Thats it. I admit I might be to young to "get" this film But I cant be the only person who finds this boring and overrated.
