Review of The Color of Money (1986) by Akis P — 28 Dec 2007
Scorsese brilliance. This is one of the finest films made in the last thirty or forty years. Tom Cruise can actually deliver a very good performance when he's got a tight script and solid direction to go on.
Paul Newman is...well...Paul Newman, so naturally he steals the film. It was a shame that he wasn't awarded an oscar for his first performance as Fast Eddie Felson, but this time around he earns his comeupance.
If you haven't seen this film, you need to, and if you have, you need to watch it again. I've seen it fifty times, and even that hasn't been enough.
