Review of The Collector (1965) by Kyall J — 03 Dec 2008
A solid and faithful adaptation of a great novel. Despite some doubts, Terence Stamp was perfect for the role of Clegg, and seemed to perfectly portray the character's mannerisms as described in the novel.
The film does remove Miranda's back story, so her character is not as well portrayed, but then I suppose that re-enforces the theme of her being captured for her physical beauty and not her personality, etcetera etcetera, I won't go on.
It's a good'un.
