Review of The Collector (1965) by Andrew C — 15 Mar 2009
Another film and book that influenced 'The Smiths' . Terence Stamp is cast against type as the drab working class loser who kidinaps middle-class art student Samantha Eggar, because he loves her...
Not quite a chilling as the book (possibly because the film was quite severly cut prior to release - Kenneth More's character was cut completely, for example) but very well acted and memorable.
