Ignore the pompous "big" critics. They exist only to tear things down. The Cobbler was a pleasant surprise for me. This movie is neither a comedy, nor a drama. It's more of an urban fantasy or fairy tale.
..so you don't have to be too shocked by the idea that a man who can cobble shoes can also transform into the owner of the shoes. Yes, it's outrageous...it is meant to be! Enjoy the story. The Cobbler is fun, surprisingly sentimental, and a wild little ride.
It's not perfect, but it's not bad either.
