Review of The Cobbler (2014) by Petros T — 27 Feb 2017
"The Cobbler" is a further departure from the style that Tom McCarthy established with his first two films - which is probably apparent by the fact that Adam Sandler stars in it. In truth, he is not too bad, although the supporting cast - namely Steve Buscemi, Dustin Hoffman and Ellen Barkin - totally steals the limelight.
And what about the story? Well the "action" part of it might be a little haphazard but is pretty inventive and certainly enjoyable. The allegory au contraire is skin deep.
