It works fine as a stand-alone sci-fi movie, but as a Clovefield movie it's very disappointing and the tie-ins don't make any sense. It's a shame because this starts out promising, there's some intense scenes, and the whole cast turns in solid work.
It's one I like less the more I think about it.
