Review of The Class (2007) by Terence S — 06 Mar 2009
I reallly enjoyed watching this though I was so tired, it kept me interested. Obviously it's a film about teachers, students, students from less privileged backgrounds. Some of the remarks the students make are absolutely hilarious but I think the whole point of the movie is to remind us the importance of education and how difficult it is for the teachers sometimes.
I can't help feeling really really sorry for the teacher as the students just simply don't appreciate his hard work, and he genuinely cares for them more than others. It's not Hollywood but it is an intimate sort of adventure looking into their lives and the movie is based on the autobiographical account of the guy who also plays himself in the movie so the effect is like a documentary and it is completely believable.
FIT.
