Review of The Class (2007) by Jeffrey G — 06 Jan 2012
The film finds huge drama in a year in the life of a French teacher at a troubled inner-city school. It's war all the way other than a great war style last day of term football armistice. The Cinema Verite style is 100% convincing, with memorable naturalisic performances from the teachers and students easily mistaken for documentary.
It would make a superb treble-bill with Neds and an episode of Educating Essex (not joking).
