Review of The Class (2007) by Megan W — 01 May 2009
This was an interesting look at the diverse and difficult environment that teenagers (and their teachers) face everyday at the schools in urban Paris. Muslims/Westerners tensions aside, it was quite similar to the issues we see everyday in the inner city schools in big cities on this side of the pond.
I have always felt great admiration for committed inner city high school teachers who in many cases go above and beyond their duties to make sure their students get every opportunity possible. This movie reaffirmed the feeling.
