Review of The Clash: Westway To The World (1999) by Steve B — 01 Jun 2008
A great, no frills, first-hand account, which trundles along at a pace covering all of the bases. Shows what punk meant to The Clash and what the rigours of touring did to the members. Makes me want to get hold of a copy of Sandinista.
The band members seem quite candid and self-deprecating, particularly Topper, apologising for wrecking things with his drug addiction.
