Review of The City of Your Final Destination (2009) by Ellen M — 05 May 2010
James Ivory's first outing after the passing of his production partner Isamail Merchant is a great success in story telling and is fueled by performances from a terrific ensemble cast. Not unlike any other Merchant Ivory productions, this film is exquisitely shot and told.
Laura Linney stands out among the cast as the widow of Jules Gund. She is so commanding in every scene, and deserves Oscar consideration for her role.
