Review of The City of No Limits (2002) by Anthony R — 09 Apr 2009
Interesting movie. very good movie excellent!! This is a Spanish drama (melodrama) with a little bit of mystery twist tossed in. Rich Family Crazy father who is dying. Medical decisions to be made. Leonardo Sbaraglia and Fernando Fernan Gomez are great in their roles.
Of Course F F Gomez is really one of the grand old actors of all time on the Spanish stage and screen. Geraldine Chapman is also of course fabulous!! I would comment much more on the plot --except to say that the complex mysterious family matter does resolve themselves and the old man dies and the Mom proves what a bitch she is.
!! A lot happens in between and its interesting moving fare. I also especially enjoyed the music in this film. I have a some what hi end audiophile system I play my movie DVD s with. The entry music and first 15 minutes or so of music sounded especially clear crisp and REAL!! Very exotic transparent and clear Really Excellent Music and Sound!! Be sure and read the review by the guy on the Boston Globe.
Anyway I really enjoyed this movie 4 stars maybe 5 stars excellent movie!!
