What could have been a great or at least an interesting satire of social media and mainstream internet culture, the Circle is a plodding bore with bland directing, a wasted cast from Tom Hanks to John Boyega, and Emma Watson giving a performance on par to Kristen Stewart from the Twilight films (not even joking on that).
