Review of The Circle (2017) by J B — 01 May 2017
This is a movie with an interesting concept, but goes absolutely no where. Imagine a world where either Google or Apple or Microsoft just dominates and does everything for you. In return you basically live your life for all to see, and here you have The Circle, at least I think.
Emma Watson is in just about every frame of this film and she just isn't that interesting. She at one point has a life like The Truman Show, accept all you see if her getting ready for bed and getting out of bed and walking to work.
The rest is pretty much non existent. Tom Hanks and Patton Oswalt try to save the picture somewhat, but it just doesn't happen, and don't get me started on John Boyega whose character just has a look of smelling something nasty all the time.
Here's a plan, stay out of the circle.
