Review of The Cider House Rules (1999) by Courtney B — 19 Jan 2009

I read the book years ago, but remember feeling incredibly connected to these characters and their struggles. I didn't get there with this film. it is beautiful and charming, the performances are all strong, but the book felt far more natural and far less didactic.

and I was a little freaked out that tobey maguire looks 14 for the whole movie...
