Review of The Chumscrubber (2005) by Travis T — 19 Feb 2008
One of the strangest films I've ever seen. Glenn Close was absolutely terrifying. Some of this movie was over-the-top weird and out of place. I had a hard time following the weirdness of the mayor character. It was so strange.
This is just a different approach to a social commentary on kids and their relationships with their parents in a world of readily accessible prescription medication. It shows how easily a utopic suburbia can be screwed up by these addictions and that maybe the parents' weirdness and obsessions are the cause for their kids' behavior.
Decent, but weird.
