Review of The Chumscrubber (2005) by Tim P — 11 Mar 2008
For some reason, I really like this movie. The plot itself is a bit over the top but it actually serves the purpose as a noir comedy (yes, I find it funny and ironic). The movie is not just about the lack of communications between kids and parents, but the general numbness all the characters - everyone tries so hard to numb themselves with drug, alcohol, status and success.
Jamie Bell stands out from the young cast while most of the adult cast gave excellent performance (Glenn Close, AllisonJanney, Ralph Fiennes).
