Review of The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury (2004) by Sam W — 04 May 2008
As much as I loved the original, and as much as I like anime, I was intrigued when I heard that this was coming out. Then I found out that Peter Chung was doing it, and I wept. I just can't see why Chung is successful.
His art is repulsive. It's like he has taken everything that is beatiful about the human form and cast it into the fire. Perhaps the story was as solid as "Pitch Black", or perhaps not; I have no idea, because now the only memory I have of this movie is of how I wanted to vomit on every character's face to cover up how ugly they were.
