Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) by Timd. — 28 Jan 2006
Though it has aspects I appreciated (Liam Neeson, Tilda Swinton in the battle sequences, the youngest of the children) and moments I enjoyed very much (the use of silence and the heartbeat at the beginning of the battle sequence), overall I found it thin, lacking weight and power -- a genuine disappointment.
This film doesn't even begin to compare with any one of Peter Jackson's Ring trilogy.
