Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) by Erin W — 24 Nov 2013
Like Eragon, this movie suffered heavily from box filming. Unlike epics like Lord Of The Rings, Narnia feels small and limited, with battles, panoramic shots and critical scenes all falling far short of the grandeur and scope that the books laid down.
Although the movie is not obviously flawed, the charm quickly fades and the sequels only serve to enforce this notion. If there is a pro, it is that this movie is really a delightful family film for all ages.
