Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) by Trystan C — 23 Jul 2012
The reason the movies that Pixar makes work is that they manage to be entertaining while at the same time not insulting the intelligence of the adults who are inevitably watching them as well. That's why their movies have transcended that young age group and now attract viewers of all ages.
This movie, Prince Caspian, snuck up on me. I thoroughly enjoyed the first Narnia movie, and then this one came out of nowhere and was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Mind bending logic holes regarding the Telmarines (Caspian's people) advancing on a Narnian army that they don't know exists yet and the most annoying, pussy-ass title character that makes Jar Jar Binks look like a hero made this movie so fucking unbearable I almost left.
And then Aslan summons a water god to defeat the Telmarines, undermining the lesson I thought the four british kids were learning about having to get things done yourself.
Don't see this movie. Fuck.
