Review of The Children's Hour (1961) by Naida S — 13 May 2008
The way an issue can be dramatized changes over time. If libel was a tragedy for our grandmothers and dramatization could include suicide, now the dramatization of a libel would probably not go beyond a court room setting; it may include far more scenes with explanations and also include a nice fight with smashing face of the wrongdoer.
Contemporary art is getting so physical :-) And homosexual love...all different story today. But I loved the movie for good play and for the major lesson: do not jump into conclusions, do not judge and be careful with what you say and hear.
...and trust your friends no matter what.
