I'm suffering from post-film depression right now. This was so damn sad, and yet it is kind of amazing that this topic was tackled in 1961, even if the whole gay thing was treated like the worst thing that could happen to a person next to the plague.
Shirley MacLaine is amazing in this film. Her big "I'm guilty!" scene at the end is heartbreaking and amazingly well played.
