Review of The Children of Huang Shi (2008) by Trudie N — 11 Mar 2009
This was about 2 Westerners in China during war with Japan. George Hogg, a respectable scholar from Oxford, came to Far East and was saved by Chow Yuk Fat, ageneral of Nationalist Party. His compassion was moved and he regarded as group of Chinese orphans as his own kids and educated them with all he could, albeit they had language barrier.
Many Westerners in the past had come over the Far East to preach or to trade... and some (but not all) really had contributed a lot selflessly...
