Based on real stories, Nanjing was handed to KMT by the N4A (New Fourth Army) after the Japanese surrendered because N4A were fighting with the Japanese in that area during the WWII.
Chow Yun Fat is outstanding in the movie, the lead actress look familiar . . . Anyway it is a touching movie though not very dramatic and lack of actions.
