Some critic compares this to Schindler's List but lack crucial emotional punch is not fair. For me, he devoted all his life to 60 orphans of rural China during WWII of Japanese invasion without asking for any return while in Schindler's List, the main character Oskar Schindler saved hundreds of Jews in order to save his factory empire.
Saving is just the by-product of his action. The atrocity of Japanese invasion has never been the main stage in Western world.
