Review of The Children of Huang Shi (2008) by Courtney R — 05 Aug 2008
A fascinating story, particularly considering it's 'fairly' true - based on a real journalist's life and events. Beautiful cinematography, and stunning eyes and faces on the children involved.
Simultaneously beautiful and heartbreaking ... a few stilted scenes (mostly the ones with Radha Mitchell!) and some odd jumping in time (but how do you tell an entire war in 2 hours), but overall a lovely journey.
