Great story but poor performance and script. It was like a hybrid of a boring movie and a documentary, a victory without the climax of a battle. Chow Yun-Fat's performance was disappointing, I thought it was a comedy when the movie first started.
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers' exaggerated acting was shameful, he is either gay or he is just a bad actor. The scenes that they picked for the movies were fantastic, I would like to visit the Chinese northwest sometimes.
