Review of The Children Act (2018) by Lisa M — 15 Sep 2018
Emma thompson gives another stellar and sympathetic performance in a film that deserved to be longer to delve more into the complex relationships. due to the incompleteness of relationship development, we don't feel much for Tucci's character and we want to understand more about Fiona, Jack, and adam, played by the brilliant fionn whiteheaD and even FIONA's Clerk.
still, it is well worth seeing for Emma and FIonn's performances in particular. TUcci simply needed more to do. a truly adult drama is a rarety these days, and what a relief to watch something with heart and soul.
as an aside, the legal drama is ho hum.
