Review of The Chapman Report (1962) by Audrey S — 27 Jan 2013
Corny and dated drama about women participating in a Kinsey-like study. I'm sure it was pretty edgy stuff in 1962, but now feels more like a tepid Lifetime Channel movie. However, the melodrama gets a classed up by a stellar case (Shelley Winters, Jane Fonda, Claire Bloom, Cloris Leachman, Efrem Zimbalist Jr.
and an uncredited Lesley Ann Warren) and by George Cukor directing and Darryl F. Zanuck producing.
